How long after cats give birth until they move?

if you really have to move them, first get some towels and lay them with the mother long enough to get her scent all over them, then without touching the kittens with your hands, pick them up using the towels as a barrier between your hands and their bodies. put them somewhere the mama cat can easily get to them, where she will be comfortable enough to nurse them. you have to be really careful with how you handle it, because mother cats may reject their young if they don't smell right. you're not really supposed to touch the babies until their eyes open which can take a week or so.

Well you can actually move them, the mother will find them and either stay there or move them somewhere else. maybe provide a box or a cozy blanket behind something out of foot traffic. A few years ago i had a cat that had babies and she moved them behind the dryer because we kept holding them. We thought it would teach them to be good around people but apparently momma didn't like that idea :p

make sure you clean ur bed really good... she birthed the sack and then most likely ate it plus the blood and fluid. not to be gross lol
