Where in scripture does it say we have "free will"?
I don't find in scripture where is says we have that. It says that it we are for his purpose. It says that he planted a field and there will be a harvest of righteous and weeds growing. We are his clay to do with what "he" wants.

Joshua 24:15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Deuteronomy 30:19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

From the perspective of free will supporters, it doesn't make sense to tell people to choose something if they don't actually have a real choice in the matter.

Deuteronomy 30:19" This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob."
And a host of other scriptures showing a blessing vs a punishment or "curse" in the old English:
Deuteronomy 11:26 : Lev 26:14-17; Deuteronomy 27:13-26; 30:1, 15, 19; La 2:17; Dan.9:11; Hag. 1:11; Mal. 2:2; 3:9; 4:6

Remember, the following single most obvious verse within the Bible that defines "free will".
Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her; Luke 1:38.
Within the above text God is asking Mary of her decision, a decision she must choose - here we have a perfect example of free will since Mary is allowed to agree or disagree.

No normal person wants his life taken out of his control so completely. Why not? Because of the way God made us. The Bible tells us that God created man in his ‘image and likeness,’ and one of the faculties God himself has is freedom of choice. (Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 7:6) When he created humans, he gave them that same wonderful faculty—the gift of free will. That is one reason why we find it frustrating to be enslaved by oppressive rulers.
So the desire for freedom is no accident, for God is a God of freedom. The Bible says: “Where the spirit of Jehovah is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17) Hence, God gave us free will as part of our very makeup. Since he knew the way our minds and emotions would work, he knew that we would be happiest with free will.
To go with the gift of free will, God gave us the ability to think, weigh matters, make decisions, and know right from wrong. (Hebrews 5:14) Thus, free will was to be based on intelligent choice. We were not made like mindless robots having no will of their own. Nor were we created to act out of instinct as were the animals. Instead, our marvelous brain was designed to work in harmony with our freedom of choice.

It doesn't. It's a good topic to use during arguments, though, so I haven't excluded the notion of free will from my repertoire. Doesn't exempt people from accountability either. Pick your favorite color right now... OK, you'll be accountable for that choice at judgment... Don't like the consequences? Pick another one! YOU are the one making the choices... That have been predetermined.

While the words "free will" are not there, this passage makes no sense if we do not have free will:
“I do take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today, that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction; and YOU MUST CHOOSE life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring, by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him; for he is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell upon the ground that Jehovah swore to your forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give to them.””

Scripture describes the concept. It's the same with the Trinity. The concept was described in the Bible but a word was not given to that concept.

The bible does not ever say "bible". THe bible does not ever say "Trinity". The bible does not say a hundred / thousand things!
PLEASE !

Gen3:3 - God set the tree in the garden and told the couple that they are not supposed to eat of that tree. They have a CHOICE ! If there was no choice then there would be no free will.

I think it doesn't explicitly say it that is why you have calvinists and methodist and such.
EDIT: having a choice doesn't mean you have free will. You might be just a sophisticated machine making a decision.

@craig b: "PLEASE !

The standard Christian response when they haven't got a decent argument.
'Free will' is a pointless concept. We're 'free to do what we want' yet we're not free to 'want what we want' in the first place
Making a 'choice' is simply 'acting on our greater desire at any given moment'.
One doesn't choose to desire this or desire that.
