What is wrong with my cat?

My cat will eat treats and she wants to finish my dinner but she doesn't want to eat her food. She seems really exited when I come home and can't wait for me to feed her. I put it down and she walks over and puts her face in it and then stops and just sits there and looks at me. What is going on?

She may have gotten used to you giving her human food and treats and that is all she wants and if that is not in her bowl then she does not want it. You may want to stop giving your cat human food and treats for a while only give her cat food generally if cats get hungry enough they will eat their food and understand that that is all they are going to get.

Well, I think your cat might like to try a different type of food. It what kind of food are you feeding her, wet or dry? She may also have gotten a preference for her treats. Hold off on them for a few days and feed her only her cat food. No treats and no table food! (table food isn't good for her anyway, except maybe some baked or boiled chicken or fish.) But first, only offer her the normal cat food. Also, instead of feeding her right when you get home, spend a span of 15 to 20 minutes playing hard with her. Or get into the habit of putting a harness on her with a long lead and take her outside. She may be nervous the first few times but then she'll start to enjoy it. This may increase her appetite. You may also put down wet food with a pinch of catnip sprinkled on it. My cats always have dry food available and then at 6PM they get 1/2 can of Fancy Feast.

I hate to say a cat is "spoiled" but in this case, she might be. You just might need to put your foot down and realize that if she gets hungry enough, she will eat, I promise. Change her food, feed her in the morning and evening after a play session and Good Luck to you! from "Gramma"

A lot of cats are like that . . . Like mine. My cat is very fussy as well and has her own scedhuel for anything she has a weird feeling about. if she doesnt like the food because shes bored with it then try changing the brand or type. Maybe wet food is the best for sometime. DONT feed her lots of treats as shell think its food and be very unhealthy ( my cat)

Maybe she got used to human food.

Maybe switch cat food,Or maybe even get moist food for her. If this doesn't work,Try going to the vet,They should have an answer for you. =) Keep watching her.

Some cats don't like it when people watch them eat. Odd.. My cats are like that though. =)

    Hope I helped you out!!

she likes human food more then her food now.

And when you do give her human food be careful of what you feed her.
