Opinion on turning cremated remains into synthetic diamonds?

Don't have my own family so barring a change in that, seriously considering specifying after my passing that after cremation, some synthetic diamonds be made using that material, and considering a setting designed by me for each to be set in a necklace, to be given to several fairly close female family members.

After the laser engraved serial number on the girth, have my name added (requires 20x magnification to read).

The colors it would be are either a canary yellow (less expensive and able to be grown larger, up to 2.0 carats) or blue (more expensive, longer process, only up to about 1 carat).

Would you appreciate being a recipient of such, wear it to formal family occasions, etc.?

I think it may hinder recovering from a loss. I would not be able to keep such an item (though I couldn't bring myself to be rude enough to turn it down if given to me).

My friends brother was accidently shot in the head at age 25. They kept ashes in cross necklaces. I personally think it haunts him sometimes. How hard to keep moving with that lost person still "on" you.

It's a catch 22 though, my mind might change had I ever lost someone real close to me (which I'm lucky enough to have not). Hmmm, hope this helps. I'm not trying to be rude, just an ordinary persons response to an online opinion question.
