Best diet plan for a teenage boy?

First of all, I'm not majorly overweight or obese - really, I'm the type of person who people ask how one can eat so much and not gain any weight whatsoever - so I'm not looking for a diet that focuses on weight loss. My main intentions are to start cutting out the unnecessary unhealthy food and drink that I tend to consume a lot seeing as it doesn't seem to affect me aesthetically and replace it with food and drink that will make me feel good instead of sluggish.

Im looking for a diet which will keep me full for most of the day so I won't feel the need to snack and yet will also provide the energy for when I go to the gym without the need for high calorie energy drinks and such.

I'm just wondering what you guys' suggestions are?

First of all I'm just going to reference this article (or series of articles) http://www.artofmanliness.com/2009/06/03/30-days-t...

I would HIGHLY recommend reading the whole thing and more on mens health from that site. It has helped me so much, I never used to have any energy, always tired and weak.

If you can't be arsed reading it, there are a few tips I can give you.

Essentially, mens well being and health is measured on testosterone levels.

Before you exercise, make sure you've warmed up. I usually do 10 star jumps. Easy. Then another ten. Then just go on to whatever you want to do at the gym. Warming up gives you a lot more endurance for whatever exercise you're about to do.

Diet wise stay away from protein powders and such, they contain chemicals that can reduce your testosterone, when you really want to be doing the opposite!

Eat meat if you aren't a veggie, anything that's really green too. Obviously try and maintain a balance of meat and veg but if you're exercising regularly having a moderate fat intake isn't too much of a worry.

Another article on that site is about cocoa, not drinking chocolate but natural cocoa. You can buy it down the supermarket for not much and it makes you feel great, packed full of slow burn energy.

I mix a tablespoon in with my rice pudding and add some honey too. I have that every morning and it gets me through those 2 hour lectures that everyone sleeps in! Good luck!
