Buying a new SATA Hard Drive?
Hello!
I have a Seagate SATA 320GB Harddrive.
It is, so I am told anyways, about to `fail`, its clicking randomly :/
Nothin I can do about that...
So here is where I need help:
Deciding what type of SATA harddrive to get..
QUESTIONS:
1) How do I find out if my Hard Drive is 2.5″ or 3.5″?
2) What things do I have to consider when choosing one?
3) Do I have to worry about different types of connections, cables etc...?
4) This is off Topic: If I get a new, empty HDD, how do I download (gimme a link?) and install Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit TEST Version?
Well that would be it...I will give 10 points to best answer...Thanks
PS: If you need any additional info, tell me.
You can contact me on facebook : Daniel Bocotan (with an Anonymous picture )
Thanks again!

1st from it wide size it
2nd the rpm take one with 7200 rpm and sata 6 gb/sec and make sure u have that connector on ur mobo , don't chose seagate or caviar green cuz they are the same performance and get the WD caviar Black or Blue and get the 64 cache
3rd yes make sure u have SATA connector or ATA the ATA is old and not that good with transfer
make sure u have sata power connector or HDD power connector
4th go to bios make it as boot drive and make sure ur bios support it and what is ur motherboard

desktops use 3.2" drives laptops use 2.5' drives.
You can torrent a copy of Win 7 Ultimate as long as your product key is valid and you still know it (Should be a label towards the back of your computer has 25 digit product key)
You cant use a win 7 pro lic key for win 7 ultimate.... etc.
try and get the most storage for the least money, make sure if you get a desktop its a 7200 RPM drive.
