wood burning stove smoke?
I have a wood burning stove with a side exhaust. A lot of smoke seems to come in when I open the door and smoke also comes out of the 6 inch pipe. The pipe has been cleaned and the pipe is above the roof line. Its back drafting. What am I doing wrong?

You've got a loosely fit door on your stove, a loose joint in the flue, or a bad induction motor/duct (if it has one). You need to call a pro (troubleshooting these pre-fab flues and stoves is tough), but I bet that your problem today is that it's windy. Normally wood stoves burn so hot that the gasses go up and out the flue, they don't return to the stove. There's really nothing you can do except burn a hotter fire or wait for the wind to die down. I'd really have to see it.

Try opening the air vents in the front of the stove for a minute or so, and then open the door just slightly for a minute, this will create more draft in the firebox and therefore a faster burning hotter fire which will force the smoke up the chimney.

You are doing everything wrong, you're using a wood burning stove, the smoke is emmiting the atmosphere
