Christians! Many keep saying that I'm an atheist because I don't want to change my life?

Perhaps you should stop dressing up a rant as a question.

Look, we're all sinners. Even "good people" have sinned before. It's wrong for anyone to judge why you're an atheist, but becoming a Christian is not about changing from a "bad person" to a "good person". Good and evil resides in the hearts of everyone, and so God doesn't distinguish people by whether they are good or bad. When we become Christians we let Christ take the bondage of our sin, and begin a new life out of faith in Christ.

You may be a good person in your eyes but there is a God, believe it or not, that

one day you will have to stand before, that will show you just how bad you really are.

You don't have to break any laws to be a bad person. Your thought life can disqualify

you to start out with. You know yourself, it isn't perfect. The secret lusts and hidden

motives in your heart is what God sees. You're as human as the rest of us, so you

need correction also, no matter how little, there still is room for improvement.

You friends may not tell you your faults, but they tell each other.

Christians are more than happy to change their life because of Jesus. Changing a life for Jesus doesn't mean you harm others quite the contrary it means you hold others in high esteem. It doesn't matter how nice you think you are God knows better, you are a sinner as all mankind and without Jesus Christ on the Judgement day you will be naked in your sin before a Holy God. I would prefer to be clothed in the righteousness of Christ.

You are separated from God because of your sins. Sin is any act or attitude that hurts and disrespects God, yourself and/or other people. Do you want to continue with your separation or, do you want forgiveness and eternal life with God? God tells us;

I am your Father, and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus. John 17:23

For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed. John 17:26

He is the exact representation of my being. Hebrews 1:3

He came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you. Romans 8:31

And to tell you that I am not counting your sins. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

Jesus died so that you and I could be reconciled. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

His death was the ultimate expression of my love for you. 1 John 4:10

I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love. Romans 8:31-32

If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you receive me. 1 John 2:23

And nothing will ever separate you from my love again. Romans 8:38-39

Saying that you are an atheist because you don't want to change your life is wrong communication. Saying that you don't want to change your life to live God's way is more accurate. I don't know specifically what it is about your life that you resist changing: is it sexuality, or does it have anything to do with drinking too much or does it have anything to do with bullying , abusing or being unkind?

From your feedback in this question, I just sense an unwillingness to make changes. Does that necessarily make you an atheist? Nope.

As an atheist, there is nothing in my life that would change...

Adding a god into my life would essentially change nothing, just add a layer which would make no sense...

I hate to admit it, but Scoots is essentially correct, but it doesn't have to be a 'belief' in gods...

If you're happy...why would you want to change your life? Especially to something so...demeaning.

The current Pope probably doesn't want to change HIS life; that doesn't make him an atheist.

You are an "atheist" because you deny The Truth..... your choice....... The Truth of God's Word and Will for man-kind is not to be imposed upon anyone not already in willing submission to Him... so you can go right along and believe whatever you please...... unless you try to impose your false beliefs upon me... then I will defend myself by any means necessary against your attempts to enslave me with your deceptions of evil...... it is the atheist who seeks to dominate and impose.... not those of The True Church commissioned by God (all those of The True Christian Faith)
