Is all out war imminent in North / South Korea .?

Since this flare up seems to be more serious than those of the past, I just thought I'd ask .

After all, it's been a while since we've seen a world war, so we're about due, wouldn't ya say ?

Lets hope not, but if N.Korea does invade S. Korea, the USA will join in & that can open a whole pile of "not good." Iran is just looking for an excuse to hit Israel & that would be a good time to do it if USA is involved on another front. Then other countries would join in.

That is not something to think about.

I hope not, but it does look pretty scary right now and I'm not real comfortable with the situation. Let's hope and pray that a war can be avoided.

I'm afraid dragonheart has it figured out. She's certainly right in saying that, if North Korea invades South Korea, and the US deploys to defend the South, Iran will have an opportunity, with the poverty-stricken US engaged on other fronts, to hit Israel. Soon after that, other Muslim countries will certainly join in. If all that happens, we'll be closer than i ever wanted to be to Armageddon.

Dragonheart, I'd give you BA with 5 stars, if I could.

I've gotten the impression over the years, that our government or maybe all of them, want to

avoid an all out world war. Due to the acceleration of knowlege that countries now have on

annialation with bombs, there would be no winners with a third world war. And it would be

a fight to the finaish, totally. So for that reason, I believe that we will engage in conflicts and

skirmaches, to help in the worlds economy and generate the means for people being put to

work again, Big business sufferes with the added increase of business for articles to make

war. And big business can provide it all, for a cost.

Fearless Leader is just trying to gather support after knocking out his father's hand picked successors. He might send a test missile out, but the people of NK are starving and in no position to endure a war of any kind.

It only seems as important as it is played up in the press - last year was it they sunk a ship - if there is another school massacre you won't hear abt it again. It's baseball season, you should have more important things on your mind.

We've been there, done that one back in the 1950's. This stupid little upstart who is trying to make a name for himself as a "dictator" needs to have a couple of H-bombs dropped on his capital city and wherever it is they're building their nukes. Take out all of his communications, transportation and energy grids and that will shut him up. I'm not sure Obama would do it, though.

I highly doubt it will happen anytime soon, North Korea knows if they attack they will lose. and I don't see China stepping in to help them this time,

I certainly hope not, I think its just allot of sabre rattling so someone can show the world how much power and spunk he has.

The problem is that this guy has the balls to cross the border into South Korea, and when he does, teh sh!t will hit the fan big time!
