Is it a sin to masturbate or a sin to orgasm?
To reach the climax of your pleasure is considered the bad part, correct?
Like how in some countries (not naming names) they cut a woman's clit so that she feels no pleasure.
Ever. Even with her eventual husband.
Is it that type of thinking?
To some.
But I'm asking this to those that still believe in it.
I don't.
I was just wondering if orgasms were considered the worst of it.
lolz.
Where are all the Christians at?

Sin is an outdated concept.
Sin is the idea that there is a substance or taint that can be created by doing something on a list of "bad things to do". It can also supposedly be passed from parent to child, as in original sin. First, the idea that the "badness" of the parent can be passed to their children is silly. Secondly, any list of rules is insufficient for all situations and quickly becomes outdated. It also paints the whole world in black and white, good and bad. In reality, the world is mostly grays, things are never wholly good or wholly bad. Most of it is neutral, for the most part.
Religion uses emotional hooks to gain an keep members. They'll play on a person's longing for happiness, guilt, fear, and many other emotions. This is why religion is so obsessed with sex. With religion, this is combined with antiquated ideas of women being property. Even the Ten Commandments lists them as such. Masturbation rules play on a person's insecurity about their own body. Everybody masturbates, and it is awkward to be caught doing so. So, if religion can make a person feel guilty about it, they can sell their "salvation" to relieve that guilt. Female circumcision is also about making sure women don't become attracted to other guys. It doesn't matter if property is happy, as long as it is obedient. So, they reduce the pleasure of sex, so that they have less incentive to seek other mates. At the same time, they make rules that say the husband can demand sex at any time, whether the woman wants it or not.
Masturbation is actually healthy for people. For females, it helps strengthen the kegel muscles which will help ward off incontinence later in life. For males, it helps keep the prostate healthy. For both, it is a great stress reliever. There is nothing wrong about it.
Religion is chauvinistic and repressed superstition.

That sort of religious dogma goes against the very human blueprint. Every nook and cranny of our genitals are specifically devised to provide pleasure, which thus offers motivation to reproduce. How is it that in the grand scheme of things, we were given this almost heavenly pleasure to voluntarily (or involuntarily in the cases of circumcision, both male and female) give it away.
You're going to reproduce eventually, and for goodness' sake, what century are we in? Such fanaticism is precisely why many people discredit religion. Should we stop wearing clothes woven of two different fabrics too? Because the Bible clearly says so. Maybe we should never eat lobster, because "thou shalt not eat anything of the sea which hath not scales, and shalt consider it an abomination". Masturbate all you want; it's practice for the real thing, has many benefits (blowing off a little steam and bringing down your hormone levels a tad) and is simply a perfectly normal anomaly.
Religious obsession is Nationalism without a Country, a dastardly and idiotic paradox which destroys and will NOT guarantee any sort of salvation.

I think to masturbate is a sin but to organism is not. God loves us and wants use to experience pleasure. If not why did he create the feeling in the first place?
The real sin here is cutting a woman's clit. That's just real sick and twisted. No matter which religion you are in.
EDIT: I'm a Christian and I'm spiritual. Though I'm not religious. You know, not dogmatic.

do you know i hate sex dreams, they are much more graphic than porn.
there is ancient beliefs that having a sex dream makes a person unclean for a day, but only if he afterwards immerses himself in a michah, the early version of baptism.
he must also clean his clothes.
i think a person can be unclean for a week if he does neither.
even the wet spot is unclean and the sheets must be cleaned.
yes its a sin to masturbate, 4 years ago i tried to defend the sin as a misdemeanor,
but when a person masturbates to porn, it becomes adultery of the heart multiplied by a thousand. or worse, one does not get resurrected in the first resurrection. think about it, no rapture for anyone. until 300 years are passed away, and thats only if the millenium starts in this generation.
16 And verily I say unto you, as I have said before, he that alooketh on a woman to blust after her, or if any shall commit cadultery in their hearts, they shall not have the dSpirit, but shall deny the faith and shall fear.
17 Wherefore, I, the Lord, have said that the afearful, and the bunbelieving, and all cliars, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie, and the dwhoremonger, and the esorcerer, shall have their part in that flake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the gsecond death.
18 Verily I say, that they shall not have part in the first resurrection.
but as one can see, its not just porn, its all the works of the flesh as described in galatians 5:18 -20

1) It is utilitarian. It produces pleasure for you, as well as giving you the incentive to reproduce and the knowledge of how well your system works.
2) Using the principle of agape, I don't see it as a sin unless it is done in public; that would be less loving towards others.
3) Surely religion is about giving thanks for what we have and celebrating it?

Any sex outside of marriage is fornication, and that includes self sex. God provided a companion to Adam in Eve, so that man would not be alone. This was also the first recorded "marriage," ordained by God. In the beginning they were commanded to be fruitful and multiply within the "template" that God provided with Adam and Eve.
-------
Genesis 2:
22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man." 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
-------
Sex is a blessing "within" the bonds of marriage, which is a "lifelong" commitment ordained by God.
Jesus had this to say:
-------
Matthew 19:
4 "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' 5 and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh' ? 6 So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
-------
Any sex outside of marriage is sin.
Orgasm within marriage is not sin, it is the result of some form of genital or sexual stimulation, but attempting to achieve an orgasm outside of marriage is fornication. In order to become aroused for self sex, the individual will often "use" other people, whether mentally or physically, through explicit thoughts to images and video...this objectifies other human beings and denigrates them as mere sexual objects/aids.
Sexual intimacy within marriage is a beautiful gift from God to bring pleasure to the husband and wife and for procreation.
Sex outside of marriage, outside of God's design and purpose for our lives is often shameful, disgusting, degrading, oppressive, traumatic/terrifying/violent, i.e. masturbation, pornography, bestiality, sexual slavery, rape, incest, etc, etc.
Mentally objectifying other human beings for personal physical pleasure against their will is not flattering as some might like to imagine, and has the potential to lead to other more harmful behaviors.
It's no surprise that one of the behaviors most serial killers and rapists share is an addiction to hardcore pornography and self sex.
God's way is beautiful and healthy. Secular ideas, methods & understanding of human sexuality is degenerative, and equates it with expelling gas; just another bodily function.
I know from experience as I was not raised in a Christian home and I was formerly addicted to porn & self sex for many years from childhood as so many are, until I gave my life to Jesus Christ and was set free.
Now I am married to my wonderful wife and Jesus Christ is the center of our relationship, He is the bond that holds us together, and I would not trade my marriage for anything.
God knows what we need, and He will provide if we put our faith and trust in Him, and this of course includes our spouse.
Take from this what you will. It's your choice.

It is not a sin to do either. If I were to say something is a sin at all, it would be harming others.
