These people that insult you without any real argument are probably Conservatives for cultural reasons that has nothing to do with free thinking. I am a conservative and you raise intresting points. first of all yes the right is worried about their livelyhood but so is the left. Lets keep in mind there are alot of rich democracts. I personally believe in equal rights for gays and for everyone. However the sanctotiy of marrige is supposed to be under god. I think you watch MSNBC news too much. You need to take time and research your theory about conservatives. Conservatives may or may not be Christians. They may or may not go to Church regularly. Most conservatives believe they should get the money they work for and keep it instead of giving it away. They believe that if you work hard enough, you can reach any goal you set for yourself up too and including becoming a CEO of your own company. Conservatives believe that everyone has the opportunity to get ahead, you only held back by your own ambitions. Conservatives are not homophobes like you say, but do believe in traditional family values. If you change the definition of marriage, so gays can marry, then what is to stop people later wanting the same rights to marry objects, or young kids or animals?? Changing the definition from a cow to a horse don't make it right does it?? As a nation, we have to have certain moral values its up to the people to push them, honor them and keep them for future generations. No, do some research before you sound off and look stupid.
