Rick Santorum’s stated the GOP changing it's stance on gay rights is suicidal,Agree?
He claimed it is a passing fancy and popular at the moment. I suppose then womans rights, black rights and minorities rights were also a passing fancy as well.

No, I don't agree. There's been a major shift in people's attitudes towards gay marriage. I'm Canadian, and a few years ago, there were the same kind of lame arguments from churches and uberconservatives against gay marriage - including the silliness that our civilization was at stake.
We've had gay-marriage rights for years, and there's no sign that our civilization is anywhere near collapsing, or that our society is rotting from the inside. Gays and lesbians simply want to be recognized as contributing members of society, with the same rights as anyone else.
There's a reason why Rick "Sanctum" Santorum wasn't on the ballot last November. Mr. Sweatervest was too "holy" to be President of the USA. What an ***.
But Santorum is a typical old-school Republican, still flailing away at old themes, when the GOP as a whole is trying to seem like it's moving away from the old, anal-retentive attitudes.

While I do agree with gay marriage, the issue is not high on my list of priorities.
From a legal standpoint, the states are the issuing body of a marriage license, not a church, so it is their call as to who they issue a license.
As for me, I do not need a judge to tell a person a love them, and another judge and a lawyer 2 years later to tell them I do not love them anymore.

Yup, all passing fancies. Eventually, people will come back to their senses and society will go back to the way it was in the Dark Ages, the Golden Age of conservatism.

They’re not changing their stance on gay rights. They’re trying to appear human. It’s not working.

No. Apparently both you and Rick are organically unaware that the conservatives lost the last Presidential election.

Yes - it would clearly be suicide. Rick Santorum is a republican and those guys don't use fear mongering.
