Is this a good computer for gaming/video?

It's a pretty good computer with an Intel i7 processor and 8 GB of RAM. It will take care of all common task with ease. 1 TB of HDD space is pretty standard on today's computers.
The graphics card could be better but maybe that's just me. Before looking at the processor or RAM, I first look at the graphics card! It's not a bad card, mind you.

This PC ain't bad but it won't hold it's own running new games even on medium detail settings.
GPU would be the problem here. The GT series only supports general multimedia technologies (not gaming ones) so basically the CPU would have to pick up the slack and it's just not that powerful.
Short answer: No, it is not a good PC for games. Build a custom desktop rig for the same price. I can pretty much guarantee it will be far better in games :D
It always amazed me that people never saw the difference between GS, GT and GTX. Advice for everyone who reads this thread - always check the tech specs on the NVIDIA website and then any modifications on the MANUFACTURER website.

Yes this is a good laptop for gaming it has a powerfull CPU and a good GPU and good ram . And its a Lenovo . They are well built laptops and very reliable and it wont over heat while gaming because Lenovo know how to make a cooling sytem for there laptops that work realy well . Get this laptop it will serve you well for years .

That's no good for gaming. It's only good for video editing and such.
