How should I drink my Maker's Mark whiskey?

It's early and I'm tired of drinking beer. Beer makes me tired. I have a whole bottle of Maker's Mark whiskey here, and I want to drink in the least gross way possible. I hate the taste but love the feeling. What should I do? Please give me detailed tips because I'll read every one of them!

Whiskey and any soda, kills the whiskey...

Just add some ice, a dash of sweet vermouth, a dash of bitters and a cherry.

    A Makers Mark Manhattan

  • First of all, congrats on learning what a real drink is. Second, don't listen to ANYBODY who has posted on here so far. Maker's Mark is a high quality bourbon and should be drank straight, with no ice (also known as drinking whiskey "neat") and no chasers or mixers. Take two ounces of Maker's and pour it in a glass. Then get a spoon, hold it parallel to the ground, and fill it with water. Pour the water into your glass of whiskey. This will help unlock some of the more mild undertones in your glass, while also improving smoothness without watering your drink down. If you would like to learn more about whiskey check out my site and read the post "Water of Life: Whiskey Drinking for Beginners".

    Makers Mark And Water

Makers Mark is a small batch bourbon whisky (they spell in with out an "e") made on the megastar Farm Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. It is two special facets are 1) it's made utilizing wheat as it's flavour grain versus rye which most different bourbons use and a couple of) The wax seal. All of the waxing is finished at the distillery and once in a while they'll produce exceptional colour waxes for specific markets (they used to have a a hundred proof, black wax variant for the japanese market). Anyway, so long as you have saved the lid on the bourbon can be excellent, it's a bit simplistic & one dimensional for me but you revel in! In phrases of price, whiskeys are valued at what any one is inclined to pay for it!

Whiskey and coke is good. The sweetness of the coke brings out the corn flavor in the whiskey. Oh and, since you're drinking Maker's Mark, I suppose it should be "whisky."

Maker's Mark will give you worse than a "tired" feeling.

If you're downing IPAs and stouts I can understand your feeling... but whiskey is like 10x worse.

Whiskey and Coke. Simple and good. Plus, the caffeine in the soda will make you less tired. Have fun, and be safe whatever you choose.

Old fashioned glass on the rocks. Sip it slow. One glass a day and after at most a week you'll be used to it and enjoy it.
