WTF is this facebook window that pops up when I answer a question?
For some reason, every time I answer a question on YA tonight, a #*%&$* window pops up prompting me to "sign in to facebook".
Has Yahoo answers really done a dirty deal with Facebook in order to harass people into using it? As far as I'm concerned, Facebook is an atrocity, and I have no intention of ever making my personal information available to Mark Zuckerberg and his minions.
I have been answering questions on this site and contributing to the scene for about 5 years now... but if I have to shut down a "sign in to facebook" prompt every time I do it, then Sayonara, it's all over.
I'd rather not give up Yahoo Answers, but this is a bridge too far. Does anyone have any info on why this is happening?

On your next answer look at the bottom and there is a tickbox
"Also share this as an update to: Start sharing your updates on Yahoo! to Facebook based on your preferences." (and the F symbol for facebook)
Untick this and then it will remain unticked for the next answer as well (so in effect turns off this option)
... then it's end of problem :)

After you click 'Answer Question' and write your response, before you click 'Submit' on the bottom, uncheck the box that says 'Also share this as an update to: Facebook' and then hit 'Submit.' That annoying Facebook pop up won't show up and Yahoo will remember your settings so it won't pop up again the next time you answer a question either for the rest of the time you are logged in.
I have yet to log out though and clear my computer's cookies, so it's possible that the next time I log in, I will have the uncheck the box again but as I said, once you uncheck it while being logged in, it will remember your settings and you won't get the pop up again for the remaining amount of time you are logged in.
If for some reason your browser is not remembering your settings, no biggie. Just uncheck the box before clicking submit each time and the pop up won't show.

Complaints have been streaming in at the Y!A suggestion board already.
Yahoo made a 'default' check in the box for sharing on your submission pages See screen shot http://i.imgur.com/u5tXBCP.png
You can UN check it, and hopefully it will remain UNchecked.
It might come back after you log out though. :(
There is another solution on the suggestion board.
see:
http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&...
There's also a solution (in that thread^) to the ads that are popping up on questions too.
I hope this helps

I had it, and went to my account settings, then apps, and a flckr app had been installed without my knowledge.
deleting it seemed to help.
