legal defenses for promoting, pandering in New Mexico.This is a 3 part question.?

I was entrapped into promoting prostitution, a 1 person sting and the entrapment defense, may not be a usable defense, as the supreme court says that police can pose as criminals to catch criminals. I have lost my motion for dismal due to Entrapement. Now I have to prove Im not a criminal, and would not have done this without them talking me into it. Who decides if Im a criminal. I have no prior arrests or convictions involving anything like this ever in my past. No convictions ever in New Mexico, where I was born and raised, and have spent about half of my life. I do have a felony drug poss. conviction in another state 13 years ago. Can they use my past drug offense from 13 years ago in another state at my trial to say I am still a criminal, (once a felon always a felon).

2nd part; which in your opinion, will afford me the best chance at a not guilty verdict: a trial by jury, or trial by judge; this is a small town, and most people here do know of my arrest because it made front page news, on a Sunday edition, with pictures, not just front page but top story of the day, it was the headline story. I have also lost a motion for change of venue for that, and I was just given or assigned my 2nd attorney from the public defenders office. I have had to fired attorneys for not doing as I had ask them to do either in my defense or for my room mates defense in past cases. I have a limited source of competent lawyers here locally. I am indigent, How should I proceed, I am just asking for opinions and ideas, and not necessarly any law or legal advise, but everything and anything will be considered. I can and will offer more than just one one defense, and hope the jury, or judge, sees how they (the police) have been more criminal than I have been, or would have been had they not pursued me, and talked me into, and entrapped me to commit this act. They have commited at least 2, separate offenses in order to try to get me to commit one, which is a lesser crime than the 2 they had to commit in order to arrest me for this 1 offense of a lesser nature. Not only my opinion but in some states my crime is just a petty misdemeanor, but in all states they have broken laws that are almost always listed as a felonys.
