The stage is now being set for the building of the third temple in Jerusalem. Virtually all the instruments that will be used in the third temple have now been precisely recreated. Red heifers required for purification of the sanctuary and the people are being bred. The only thing that is stopping the rebuilding of the third temple is the present political situation and disagreement among Jews whether Elijah needs to come first to oversee the building project.
Part of the peace plan that Israel will accept will include permission to rebuild the third temple on the temple mount or north of the temple mount as discribed by the millennial temple of Ezekiel. It is not a coincidence of time that preparations for animal sacrifices are now underway for the first time in nearly 2000 years.
Only in modern times could the genetics of Jews be tested to determine without question the true descendants of the priestly tribe (by law only Levites can serve in the temple).

No, the first temple was built by Solomon, the second by Zerubbabel, and the third by Herod. It was this third temple which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 C.E. There is no need for a fourth temple since the worship centered around the temple was a prophetic type of the realities of the spiritual temple made up of Christ and his 144,000 bride bought from the earth as "firstfruits" to serve with him as Kings and Priests in heaven over the subjects of God's Kingdom who will live on the earth and restore it to a paradise, as is Jehovah's original purpose.

No, I don't. The glory of the Lord departed from the 1st Century Temple, and now resides in the true Temple, the Church. His Body.
Many Dispys teach that heresy, and many gladly speculate a time when animal sacrifice will be done. How foolish. Righteousness can never come by the law. Christ fulfilled all OT types and shadows.
Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." If you are in Christ, you're a part of his Body. Bone of His Bone and Flesh of His Flesh.
Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."
@scooper....God did destroy the last one. He sent, that's right He send the Roman armies to destroy it. So much so that one stone was not left upon another.

"Third temple" is a buzzword. There have already been more than three:
1st was built by Solomon
2nd was built by Ezra and company
3rd was built by the high priest Onias IV in the Sudan for Jews in exile
4th was built by the Macabees (they gutted Ezra's temple and rebuilt everything)
5th was built by Herod the Great
(The 5th doesn't necessarily count since he didn't tear down the old one; he significantly increased the size of the temple mount and transformed Judaism into a world-class religion.)

I don't believe there will be. On the other hand, I don't believe it is important whether there is or not,,, and many rich people want there to be,,, so maybe it will happen.
