Did the Boston Bombing make you feel more Republican?
I have been voting Democrat for the few elections, but prior to that I was a Republican (Reagan years, but stopped at Bush Sr.) However, this episode made me want to buy a gun and deport 11 million illegals. I actually think that it would improve the unemployment rate and reduce the expense of welfare so as to help the deficit. Did anyone else feel affected in this way?

No, I'm a liberal Democrat as are most Bostonians.
It did, however, make me even prouder to be a Democrat as Governor Patrick did a fabulous job of rising up to the ocassion and keeping the city safe.

Hello young lady:
You bring up some very good points and I applaud you for being so astute.
Feeling as though our elected officials have failed, when governmental policies permit such violations to common sense, is certainly a reasonable reaction.
A party affiliation is a difficult and personal decision that should be based upon which one you feel best represents your views.
I abhor the size of our present Federal Government and it's wasteful spending, its disregard for the protection of our citizens and borders.
I myself will have to do some serious soul searching before the next primary election.
It seems as though my attempts to reform my party from within have failed miserably.
Being a lifelong conservative Democrat is becoming increasingly more difficult, and it seems as though I've become a contradiction in terms.
Best of luck with your choices young lady, as I truly sympathize.

Absolutely, for those who want to be safe from crime the Republican Party is where to vote. For those who want to be taken care of though the Democrat Party is the party to vote for.

I wouldn't say more "republican", but it certainly made me feel a bit more conservative concerning our student visas and immigration programs.
