Hmmm, there are lots of nice foods. I love tofu, tempeh, and seitan. I love mushrooms and onions. I admit I am a junk food junkie.
A lot of foods can be veganized. You are limited mostly by your creativity. So, yes, you can make a vegan lasagne. You can make vegan milkshakes with soy milk (or your favorite plant milk). There are vegan ice creams out there made with soy, coconut, rice, and almond milks, to name a few (check out Purely Decadent). And I've had vegan pizzas many times. A number of pizza joints in the DC area offer Daiya, a soy-free vegan "cheese". It's a bit of an acquired taste/texture, but it's pretty good once you get used to it. There's one place in York, PA (about 45 minutes south of Harrisburg/Hershey), that has Daiya and vegan pepperoni slices. And Zpizza (a smallish chain) has veggie crumbles that are pretty good. One local place has a fried eggplant topping that I swear has a prosciutto/bacon-like texture. It's that good.
In NYC, there's a place in the Village called Lula's Sweet Apothecary, a vegan ice cream parlor. Most of their products are made of cashew milk, which makes things very creamy and rich. Their "whipped cream" is made of coconut milk. In Brooklyn, there's a vegan fast food joint called Foodswings.
Sticky Fingers, a DC vegan bakery and cafe, won Cupcake Wars on two of its three appearances. You can order some of their products online at www.stickyfingersbakery.com. If they were any closer than half a mile from my home, it would be dangerous.
There are a few places in my area that offer vegan chili.
There are two companies that make vegan marshmallows Dandies and Sweet & Sara (their s'mores are to die for).
My boyfriend and I were in Vegas back in December, and one place had a vegan version of chicken and waffles (I think they used the Gardein Scallopini breasts) that was just amazing. And we saw one pizza place that was promoting its vegan pizza.
Oh, yeah, Gardein. They have vegan versions of meaty foods that you will probably love. Their Beefless Burger is the best veggie burger EVER. They have these cute little Chick'n Sliders and Burger Sliders that are pretty good. But do NOT microwave them. Cook them in the oven. Trust me.

There are foods called vegan lasagna, milkshakes and pizza...but they don't taste like what you're used to eating.
The lasagna usually contains soy that's been modified to replace meat.
The milkshake is usually made with soy curd...sold as "milk"....or perhaps almond juice
Vegans don't eat cheese, so their version of pizza contains a chemical concoction...usually soy based...made up of oils and other additives.
Personally, I have never found anything made from soy that was worth spending the money on...but you can make your own choices. Just don't assume that the name means the same after a food has been veganized.
