Are these accurate statistics for atheists worldwide?
The following numbers refer to the statistics of Atheism worldwide, most coming from misc. polls, wikipedia, or news channels:
16% of the world are generally atheistic people worldwide, non-affiliated with religion (app. 1/8 or 1/7) . (That includes pantheists, deists, Agnostics and Atheists, as stated by the Pew Research Centre in D.C)
14% of Americans are not affiliated with a religion, 4.4% are agnostic/atheists. (Pew Research Centre)
30% of North American youth are atheist or agnostic. (Valleyfield College)
65% of North American youth do not fully agree with the complete concepts of a religion, but are not necessarily non-religious. (CBC)
If atheism's growth rate continues, 1/4 americans will be atheist in 20 years, and 2/4 will be agnostic theists/atheists. ( http://theweek.com/article/index/226625/the-rise-o... )
30% of Europeans are not affiliated with a religion. (Wikipedia)
27% of Canadians are unaffiliated to religion, (CBC)
39% of British people are atheists/agnostics (BBC)
The Average per country of people who don't believe in god is 17%. (BBC)
France has 34% Agnostics/Atheists. (Wikipedia)
Being non-affiliated to religion, and a college student, I was wondering if these numbers were more-or-less accurate
O_O
I was expecting people would think my numbers would be too high.
It's surprising that people think I'm too low, but hey, that can't be a bad thing.

There is a big problem in that you can change the answer quite a bit by how you define atheist, and how you ask the question.
Far fewer will say they are atheist than will say they don't believe in gods for example. Which is why it is really hard to get good numbers. If you use the later definition you'll come up with almost 10 percent in the US. Most US atheists in particular don't self identify as atheists...even though they are.

Its very hard to be accurate when questions are asked using the terms 'atheist' or 'agnostic' when there is an option to choose 'Christian' or 'Muslim' in your answer.
For example, your data on Britain, where I live, is technically right but make what you want of these additional figures.
61% of Britons ticked 'Christian' in the 2011 census.
When asked about their beliefs it turned out that only 50% thought there might be a God.
Only 36% believed Jesus was the son of God.
Only 18% said that they turned to their religion for moral guidance.
Only 2% went to church.
In another poll when the question was phrased 'Are you religious?' only 36% of English people said 'Yes' and that included Muslims, Jews, Hindus etc as well as our Christians.
When asked what was most important in the lives of Irish people (our highest religiously affiliated country) religion was the lowest ticked box of 107 options.
I am in London and only know two Christians personally and they are both over 80. I know several Muslims but generally here, the assumption is that a person is atheist or non-religious and if someone talks about a god, we all get very embarrassed and change the subject.
So, do we have 61% theists? I don't think so.

I don't know, but examples like,
"65% of North American youth do not fully agree with the complete concepts of a religion, but are not necessarily non-religious. (CBC)"
Are worse than useless.

That fairly depends upon the Christian or atheists character. I've read examples the place either one chooses either choice. In my opinion, I value my lifestyles much more now that i will admit I best know of having one and would say something the loon wanted to hear, if it might retailer my life. (In Genesis, observe how Abraham by no means denies the opposite Egyptian god/des's existance....And he was once supposedly appreciated by God).

There can't be accurate statistics as long as there are muslim countries where open atheism means imprisonment or death.
Google: Maldives atheist.

Yeah, pretty much. I thought the world wide number would be higher, but I guess not.
