Being women or men is not important. The real thing is, everyone has to face difficulties in life.

It depends on what countries you are referring to. In 1st world countries, both men an women face equal hardships. men may face losing their children after divorce and are often put down by society without society realizing they are doing it. On the other hand, women in 1st world countries still face issues like rape, low salary, troubles having children while working, no maternity leave, and even discrimination in the workplace. Though, women do have benefits that men don't.

In third world countries or anything in between, there is no question who has it worse.

    Both are 100% equal

The question is which type of person has life more difficult, and that depends on the persons attitude and actions towards life, are you succeeding in life or are you sitting on the run way waiting for someone to push your plane and go nowhere then find time wasting reasons to why your life is so difficult.

But if your living in Middle east or India then woman.

I would rather say that the whole world, men and women are equally having difficult times. men have it difficult in many places around the globe and women have it difficult other places.

Women, even in this day and age, the majority of the world is still very sexist to women. There are countries that restrict women from many things and don't care about husbands beating their wives or raping them. And we all know about that girl who was shot just for wanting an education. Few countries actually give women extra privileges, and they're not even noticeable.

Depends on what you're talking about. Several recent studies have shown that women are faring much better than men economically in the U.S.

No one sex has it harder. Life is hard. Men do 90% of the physical toil-related work in the world while women have to endure childbirth and mothering. Everything is relative to the individual, thier geography, and the family within which they are born.

women, they get paid less, are limited by the 'glass ceiling' from the best jobs, governments(mainly men) are constantly trying to control their bodies, and they get made fun of on the internet

In the West, particularly for the younger generation, men.

Women get less prison sentence time for the same crime:

    We assume men are guilty:

    We laugh at abusing men:

Which is too bad since women are more likely to be violent than the other way around:

What happens to false rape claims:

    http://www.steakleylawfirm.com/index.php/blogs/cri...

And how at least some campuses have considered false rape claims:

"Men who are unjustly accused of rape can sometimes gain from the experience"

Catherine Comins, Assistant Dean of Student Life, Vassar, for Time Magazine, June 3, 1991

We continue to push to eliminate the gender gap in pay when there really is no gap and the apparent difference is caused by choices women have made in their lives. If that number was to go to zero without women changing the choices they made, they would be earning considerably more per hour worked for the experience and all other concerning issues than men:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb_6v-JQ13Q

Our education system is now women teaching girls with boys just watching:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqOTj9NDv80

And how do our potential future leaders think of men?

"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat. Women often have to flee from the only homes they have ever known. Women are often the refugees from conflict and sometimes, more frequently in today’s warfare, victims. Women are often left with the responsibility, alone, of raising the children." Hillary Clinton, PBS interview, 10/25/2011

And when men bring these issues up?

But of course, the West is the West - and this represents the minority of the world's population. Women generally are protected by their male counterparts elsewhere, but are treated like property and/or machinery. And of course, if you're property, that means your owner is free to abuse you.

So across the planet, I'd say that WOMEN have it worse. In the West, particularly in the US, particularly for the younger generation, men have it worse.
