Your Thoughts on the Future of Music?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but back then, a genre of music called soul was quite popular.

Nowadays most songs are either about:

1.)Love or

2.)Partying

There's also:

-Rap and

-Dubstep

This leads me to my question: what do you guys think the future will hold for music?

Techno will be the future, but only in a bad way.

Meaning: all of the other genres will get split up too. There's already 5 or 6 different kinds of metal, it'll happen to R&B, country and hip-hop too, everything will get sliced and diced nine ways from Sunday to cater to smaller and smaller audiences, on the odds that people WILL pay for these tunes somehow.

Which of course means that truly creative people who don't care about all of these artificial genres will just get a lot of trollish, hipster sorts "very very upset, how dare they put something out that half-sounds like dubstep but isn't at the precious 142 beats per minute EXACTLY and doesn't sound like the prissy, twerpy English sh=t Oi Jest Flooshed Dun a Terlet?" *lol* Or some such.

It'll be a sad day when that happens, but that's how it will go, and woe betide the _Artist_ who doesn't listen to genres or make something that sounds EXACTLY the same as everyone else IN a genre.

    It's going to be about:

1.) More sex, and more vulgar, blunt and exploitative

2.) More about whores, bitches, & hoes

3.) More about how cars they own

    4.) Money, money, money, money

Music gets nastier by the decade if you've watched it from 20s and until now.

There is no 'puzzled' or 'enigmatic', cunning way to deliver messages in songs anymore. Frank Sinatra used to sing about sex all the time in his music but you had to find it.

Nowadays there is no thinking involved. "Hey girl give me your pussy 'cuz I'm a boss".

I think it will be fine. I remember when I was a kid (I am 58 now), my parents said music was dead and had no future. Now I am the parental age and am not in to today's music. That isn't a bad thing, just a generational thing. You young people will probably hate your kid's music too when the time comes. It is OK.

I think future music will no longer have a deeper meanings to the songs

Its starting to go down hill. I barely listen to radio and find better artists to listen too. They are out there.
