I'm having a lot of difficulty differentiating the difference between the uses of infinitive phrases.

For example, what would the following sentence be, "The team's fans hope to see a victory." Would the infinitive "to see" be used as an adjective or something?

And also, "I was sorry to hear about her dad cat." Would "to hear" be an adjective also?

Any help would be great to clear up my questions on these phrases.

So in my reading it states that in Nichomachean Ethics, Aristotle tried to find what "good living" meant. "He concluded that good living cannot be defined by a logical system that always works out. Instead, the real world creates situations where different values sometimes com into conflict." What does his conclusion mean? Please make your explanation as simple as possible. I'm having a bit of trouble understanding his works on Logic.

Hello there, why do some object reflect a specific color? For example, oceans look blue because they absorb blue wavelengths the least and it is reflect back to us. Why can't the ocean reflect purple wavelengths instead?

In 1929, Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe was expanding. It still is today, but this leads me to my question. If the universe will keep on expanding, won't this mean that someday in the distant future, when we look out into the sky, the stars will be gone? If so, wouldn't that mean the end of astronomy, or would we have advanced enough technology to still be able to study the celestial bodies.

So the question was something like this: "Jackie's test scores in one week were 80,90,100,20 and 95. Which would be a fairer representation of her scores, the median or the mean? I chose the mean but then found out that the median was higher than the mean. I don't know what to do. I need answers ASAP. Thanks!

Hi guys, so I have a really bad habit that I need help with.

So, whenever I find myself looking at an A or a 97% or lower on a test, I find myself usually getting angry and mad for the whole day. It just happened recently in fact. I learned that I got an "A" in science and for the rest of the day in school, I was just really mad and angry. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I know, you guys might be like "get over it" but I try but I can't. It's like some evil voice in my head that is just taunting me. Can you guys help me change this bad habit? Ok, i dont know what is going on but..... When ever i switch from high d to low g, i always get a high d.

i completely removed my thumb off the register key and onto my thumb key but i still get a high d! could you guys please tell me why this is happening?

Ok, i know this may sound kind of dumb but: If the density of a nucleus is 4×10^17 kg/m3. Wouldn't that mean that the atom is very heavy?
