Advice on second daughters name..?
My first born daughter is named Grace. My fiancé and I are at a loss for what to call the girl I'm pregnant with. We think another virtue name might be too cutesy. But would it also be bad if we gave our second daughter a name that meant grace? Something like Anais?

I personally like Anais, but you might have some problems with pronunciation. I'd love to have faith in people's ability to pronounce names, but people even pronounce my name, Gabrielle, as Gabriel. However, if you think your daughter wouldn't be too annoyed with that issue, then go ahead.
How about Carissa, which comes from Charis, a Greek name that means grace, or Amara, which also means grace.
Hope I helped!

I wouldnt use Anais simply because Grace and Anais rhyme, so I don't think they go well together. But choosing a name really depends on what's important to you. Do you really like names that sound a certain way, or is the meaning more important than how is sounds? you could just pick another meaning (light, strength, joy, etc.) and find a name that matches that meaning. or, if you want a different spin on using a name with meaning, you could consider naming her after a person who has been really important to you.
good luck!

Grace and Anais would seem odd to me because Grace is so timelessly popular and familiar, Anais is so much more uncommon and exotic. Some names I think sound more like Grace's sister:
Anna
Lucy
Alice
Claire (or Clara)
Lily
Rose
Kate
Charlotte
Emma
Sarah
Eve (or Eva)
Julia
Laura
Violet
Ruby

I agree with what someone else said.. A name meaning Grace would be super cute but Im not a fan of Anais.
I like Carissa, Karis, Jenna, they all mean Grace. But if you like Anais go for it :) Its cute and unique and she could always be called Ana

If you want a name meaning Grace, then Hannah is a good choice. It ages well and goes nicely with Grace. I think the link is subtle, so I don't see a problem. It would give them a nice togetherness.
Other names I like with Grace...
Phoebe
Leila
Alice
Lily
Mabel
Violet
Isobel

I don't think it would be bad if you gave her a name that meant grace. I don't really like name Anais because when I first read it I thought it said 'anus' or 'anas' I have some random girls names that I also really like:
Brooklyn
Riya
Megan
Priscilla
Brandi
