Christians: What's the one thing in the Bible that you honestly can't believe?

There are a lot of stories in the Bible, many of them are fairly fantastical. Out of the whole Bible, what are some things (or even ONE thing) that you have a gut feeling is an embellishment, exaggeration, or is hard to believe?

Update:

For everyone that believes everything in the Bible 100%, even the most wildly inane parts of it, what else do you believe? If you believe all of the Bible, you seem like the kind of person who could potentially believe in EVERYTHING anyone tells you. To people who DO question and have hesitations about some of those things - GOOD!

Genesis. Miracles. Dead coming back to life. The flood. Virgin birth, pillar of salt, and anything that contravenes the laws of physics and biology. Everything else could have happened but probably didn't, e.g., the cruelties, babies' heads dashed into rocks, people run through with swords, towns sacked and looted, women raped, etc. That was pretty much par for the course in those barbaric times and as such was material for "the greatest *story* ever told."

  • I honestly can't believe how hard the deceiver is trying to fight the truth of the bible on a daily basis using anything and anyone he can find.

It's hard to question him especially when you seen what he can do!

and questions and doubts are ok. Even one of the disciples doubted but in the end his perseverance was rewarded. God showed him as well as us NOTHING is impossible for him. That's why people praise him so hard at church because of an impossible state that they were in and God got them out.

He won't submit to worldly wisdom we must submit to him.

The part about giving up all their worldly possessions.

Talking snakes, magic apples, and the dead rising from the grave are all totally believable, but that part about giving up all your stuff smacks of communism. Must be a metaphor or something.
