We do not know how much longer before the great tribulation starts. Depending on how old you are, it could very well happen in your lifetime. What we do know, though, is that it will come after the "last days", which we are living in right now. Thus, it will be sooner than later. So, then, let it be your determination to do as Jesus said in Matthew 24:42, "Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming." For more information on the great tribulation, I encourage you to speak to Jehovah's Witnesses in person or visit our official website, www.jw.org

The Rapture of the church must take place first. God's church isn't appointed to the wrath of God (1 Thessalonians 5:9). We can already see signs of the end times (Matthew 24/Luke 21; 2 Timothy 3). Don't be left behind...believe in the Lord Jesus Christ now, with all of your heart and you will be saved.

Noah preached for 120 years that a flood was coming to destroy all mankind, and no one listened. After God shut Noah and his family into the ark, what Noah had preached about all those years came and wiped out all life.

We've been given what to watch for, and I think this sums it up:
But know this, that in the last days grievous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof: from these also turn away.
(2Ti 3:1-5)
The last few generations of men have been racing to this type of description. Not since Christ has there been any such depth of depravity now tolerated as typical in the normal course of life.
North America turns a blind eye to the poverty of other nations because of their own diminishing returns on what they have hoarded.
Corruption has superseded poverty as the number one concern of the global community, in government, and in the general populous as well (just following their leaders).
Disobedience in the family level is encouraged by removing the right of discipline from the parent (better to let the law courts handle it later), and
"charity" is considered the practice of the ignorant; of those want to become poor.
Jesus once pointed out the coming of the end would be notable similar to seeing the turning of the leaves on a tree from one season to the next.
I would say the season described above is well under way, wouldn't you?

It's very possible. Although Jesus stated at Matt. 24:36...concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father....
But what he also said at Matt. 24:44...on this account prove yourselves to be ready because at an hour that you do not think it the son of man is coming..."
All the prophecies for the last days have been accomplished since 1914 and the only one left to be realized is the "cry for peace and security" mentioned at 1 Thessalonians 5:2,3....".for you yourselves know...that Jehovah's day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. ..Whenever it is that they are saying: "Peace and security"...Then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pangs of distress upon a pregnant woman and they will by no means escape"
This is an encouraging thing for true christians because Jesus said at Luke 21:28..".but as these things start to occur raise yourselves erect and lift your head up, because your deliverance is getting near."

No one can answer that question. The signs of the times show it's closer than most people think.
