The One and All owes nothing to no one. We should be thankful for everything just by breathing the air that we breathe, life itself, our blessings and...
The best way to show thankfulness is by loving and helping one another and, all of life. We are all one; under, with, through and through.
Yes, Karma is fluent. We are the conduit that allows it to run smoothly - or not. :D
Peace and Blessings

You can "imagine" anything you want but that doesn't make it true. I can imagine I have fluffy pink fur and wings, but if I step out of the 3rd floor window and try to fly, I'll find out I can't in a second.
God owes us nothing. He has given us everything we have and are: life, a body, a planet to live on...and, btw, the possibility of knowing Him personally through Jesus Christ.
We do our best because we choose to, not for any eventual "reward." If you're doing stuff for applause, reward, or recognition, that's not altruistic. It's horse-trading.

it's KARMA that ALWAYS comes back to you. If you give in cash then cash comes back to you. If you deal in volunteer work then someone will lend you a hand. If you give in information then information then information will come back to you. See how easy that was?

Well, the role of the Almighty as you call the ONE, is precisely to be the one who sows, the one who reaps, the reward itself, the actions, and the whole thing at the same time. No Essence, no Existence... quite clear isn't it? ;-)

Brainless. You do your best because that is how you believe you should behave. It follows your own belief in human behaviour and not some imaginary hope that you will be rewarded for it.
For goodness sake, do try and live in the real world.

It put a microcosm of itself in each of us. I am not sure what more could be done. Self enquiry will lead one to the end of the rainbow and there they will find that they have been the pot of gold all along. The Gnostics had it right and they drew their axiom from ancient esoteric Buddhism (much earlier than Guatama). Gnosis, or self-knowledge, is the way to healing what has bewitched our senses and left us a wary wreck. You are pure infinite consciousness. Your animal self with all its desires and cravings is part of an illusion. Step away.

I have done what I can regardless if it qualifies as "the best"....it pleases me and I embrass myself with love and affection regardless of anything or anyone elses thoughts, beliefs or judgments. Respectfully...

If we think that we have done our best, that is never right. Always there is yet to do. And if any one assumes he or she has done the best, this is probably state of disappointing, which would lead to lack of faith.
In this sphere we have not to assume or imagine that God owes us, instead we virtually experience and also have conversation with Supreme Lord God.
This is also true that we do what we do what is preordained in our destiny, hence every thing is God's act, but due to illusion of fascinating Maya we can not see the hidden.
If some one goes on doing with the sweat of eye brows, reaches the highest spiritual level, equal to God Himself, in that state we feel that we are not we, but we are God.
As regarding what is the role of God, the answer is every thing is God and instead our role is zero.
Hence we can say our future depends on three things:
1) Grace mercy and kindness of Him 2) Grace mercy and kindness of Him and 3) Grace mercy and kindness of Him.(However we can only pray.)
Above all is Your Glance of Grace, O God.
Upon some it is bestowed less, and upon others it is bestowed more.
Without You, nothing happens at all; the Gurmukhs understand this. ||3||

As long as someone thinks that he is the one who acts,
he shall have no peace.
As long as this mortal thinks that he is the one who does things,
he shall wander in reincarnation through the womb.
As long as he considers one an enemy, and another a friend,
his mind shall not come to rest.
As long as he is intoxicated with attachment to Maya,
the Righteous Judge shall punish him.
By God's Grace, his bonds are shattered;
by Guru's Grace, O Nanak, his ego is eliminated. ||4||

By great good fortune, the Lord's Congregation is found,
while the unfortunate ones wander around in doubt, enduring painful beatings.
Without good fortune, the Sat Sangat, the company of holy, is not found; without this Sangat, people are stained with filth and pollution. ||3|| {{{Guru Raam Daas Ji Raag Maajh 95}}}
He Himself creates and fashions the world, and He Himself keeps it in order.
Having created the beings within it, He oversees their birth and death.
Unto whom should we speak, O Nanak, when He Himself is all-in-all? ||2||

THEREFORE SIR LET US NOT FALL IN THIS AND THAT, SINCE HIS GOSPEL IS INDESCRIBABLY, AND THEREFORE LET US CONTINUE SINCE IT IS NOT BEST YET.

Here's a quote from Bhagwat Gita:
"Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana,
Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarman."
This tells us to do our best (that's our duty) and not expect to be rewarded....for the results are not for us to decide! Don't let fruits of your action dictate you, and lead you to inaction/derelection of duties.
Expectations are what land us in the quagmire of misery!

Imagination is a gift...
Owing is a form of indebtedness, is it not?
Man should feel indebted to the Creator for having been granted the ability to imagine.
