Panosteitis - anyone's dog had similar problems ?
I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who has any (informed) knowledge or experience of this condition. Our Inuit is a large lad at 14 months and has classic symptoms of Pano, according to our vet.. I've had this with another pup but we nurtured her along and she was fine when she hit one year.
The Inuit's condition recurs in the same leg (front) although with the other pup it rotated before disappearing completely.
All dogs are raw fed.
Any helpful input gratefully received and thanks in advance.

Hi Gail
I have found proteolytic enzymes are very beneficial for dogs to naturally help resolve this problem.

I give a chewable vitamin C and an aspirin 2x per day until the symptoms clear up. There is also a supplement that DDB people use called MSM (Methyl Solfony Methane) when combined with Yucca extract has worked fairly well. Stay away from therapies like Rimadyl. The good news is, as you probably know, it will resolve its self without vet intervention.
