Why are there Female Bishops and Pastors when that is against the Bible ?

In the bible 1 Timothy chapter 2:11- 2:12 say that a woman is not to teach/ preach, yet why are there so many females in the pulpit. God created eve by taking the the bone out of Adam, so why is their so much backwards aspects in these Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist etc. churches ?

Update:

Some of you guys sound really stupid ! So basically you're saying its okay to ignore some parts of the bible, while you can believe other parts ??? Woooowww !!! Some of you guys are some serious hypocrities !

I cannot Speak for the Methodist,. However, I know of no Baptist or Penecostal Churches that have a Female Pastor

Paula White and Joyce Meyers are NOT Pastors By The way, They are only evangelists, they do not pastor a Church, nor have a Body of deacons or anything like that, They have a Ministry, yes, They go from one City to another spreading the Gospel.

Many women excel in gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching, evangelism, and helps. Much of the ministry of the local church depends on women. Women in the church are not restricted from public praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:5), only from having spiritual teaching authority over men. The Bible nowhere restricts women from exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and to proclaim the gospel to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15).

@ 4Him Christians Love, In Romans 16:1, even if Phoebe is considered a “deaconess” instead of a “servant,” that does not indicate that Phoebe was a teacher in the church. “Able to teach” is given as a qualification for elders, but not deacons (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:6-9). Elders/bishops/deacons are described as the “husband of one wife,” “a man whose children believe,” and “men worthy of respect.” Clearly the indication is that these qualifications refer to men. In addition, in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-9, masculine pronouns are used exclusively to refer to elders/bishops/deacons.

This is an excellent question. Any religion that truly follows the teachings of God's word, the Bible, wouldn't have female bishops and pastors.

Jehovah God created Adam first, then Eve. Before Eve’s creation, Adam gained experience in living. During this time, Jehovah gave him certain instructions. (Genesis 2:15-20) Serving as God’s spokesman, Adam was to transmit these to his wife. Logically, then, he would take the lead in all matters involving worship.

A corresponding arrangement exists in the Christian congregation, and we can benefit from an examination of it. The apostle Paul wrote: “I do not permit a woman . . . to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve.” (1 Timothy 2:12, 13) This does not mean that a woman is to be completely silent at a meeting of the Christian congregation. She is to be silent in the sense of not getting into disputes with a man. She is not to belittle his appointed position or endeavor to teach the congregation. Men have been given the assignment of presiding over and teaching the congregation, but women add much to Christian meetings by participating in them in various ways.

    Here is 1 Timothy 2:11-12

    1 Timothy 2:11-13 (KJV)

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

As you can see Paul is talking about the marriage relationship between a man and woman. This is the natural order. Do you see his reference to Adam and Eve? He is not talking about gifts or ministries in the Church.

However, a woman can be a pastor, or prophet, or teacher (Ep. 4:11), because these are spiritual offices and in spiritual matters it is God, Christ, and everyone else in the Body of Christ:

    Galatians 3:28 (KJV)

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Do you see the name Christ before Jesus? Christ means "Anointed One," and this is dealing with spiritual matters. A spiritually anointed woman can be any of the spiritual offices described in Scripture, however, since she cannot be a "husband of one wife" this precludes her from being a bishop:

    1 Timothy 3:2 (KJV)

    2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

The natural order: God, Christ, man, woman.

The spiritual order: God, Christ, everyone else in the spiritual Body of Christ.

Believers need to overcome the gender-bias in the CHURCH.

But in the HOME, it is God, Christ, man, woman. Even Jesus Christ was shepherded (pastored) by a woman (Mary).

    I hope this helps.

Paul's letters are not Gospel. Paul was never a disciple or an apostle of Jesus Christ and all 3 different versions of his Damascus RD. story are fake. He wrongly thought an Apostle was greater than a Prophet which is why he chose to call himself an apostle.

    12 Women Apostles:

These ten women selected and commissioned by Jesus were: Susanna, the daughter of the former chazan of the Nazareth synagogue; Joanna, the wife of Chuza, the steward of Herod Antipas; Elizabeth, the daughter of a wealthy Jew of Tiberias and Sepphoris; Martha, the elder sister of Andrew and Peter; Rachel, the sister-in-law of Jude, the Master’s brother in the flesh; Nasanta, the daughter of Elman, the Syrian physician; Milcha, a cousin of the Apostle Thomas; Ruth, the eldest daughter of Matthew Levi; Celta, the daughter of a Roman centurion; and Agaman, a widow of Damascus. Subsequently, Jesus added two other women to this group — Mary Magdalene and Rebecca, the daughter of Joseph of Arimathea.

That is the word of man, not a god, who wrote that bible thing. If this God is so against women, why even allow them in thru the church doors... period. And do you really belief women came from a man's useless rib bone? No other creature in all of "creation" had such 2nd rate beginnings. Even serpents were not so dishonored.

Do like those muslums and forbid all those unclean females out of your holy sanctuary and all you good, sacred and worthy men can get down to important business. OK?

Probably because those churches follow the words of Jesus instead of Paul (who wrote Timothy).

half of the **** that christians believe is against something somewhere else in the bible

it is a book of contradictions, and christians cherry pick what they want to believe, and what they want to reject.

that is why there are 34,000 (or more - that number is suggested as a 'conservative' estimate) denominations embracing a myriad of diverse opinions from the extreme liberal to the extreme fascistic

Given that truth cannot conflict with truth - and given that the Bible cannot contradict itself - and given that the beliefs/teachings of each Protestant denomination conflict with the beliefs/teachings of the others; it seems there is an awful lot going on that is against the Bible. Beginning with the fact that such churches exist, when Jesus Christ stated His divine will that the one Church He founded remain one.
