How much space do i need for a second ear piercing?

I'm getting my ears pierced again. Above my first one. I was wondering how much space do i need to pierce it again. My current ear holes are surprisingly different height. My left ear is ok but for my right ear, the earring is in the midde of my ear lobe. There is a little bit of space above but i'm scared it's going to be too close to my first ear hole or if it's too close to the side it might rip. I also do not want it to pierce through the bone because i have heard it hurts a lot. How much space do i need?

The normal spacing between piercings is about 3/8 of an inch or 15mm. Get your second piercings as far in from the and of your ears as you reasonably can and equally spaced from your first piercings.

Get the second one pierced in the middle of the ear that they got it right in, about in the same place as where they got it wrong with the other ear.

And get the other one pierced in the same spot as they got the first one right.... if you understand.

Here, I tried to do a thing to make it easier for you to get what I mean http://oi44.tinypic.com/6r0ow4.jpg
