Which name is better?

My friends name is Aleksandra. And she doesnt know what her nickname would be. If its gonna be Aleks or Sandra. She's new here in my place, and she told me about it. So which one do you think is better guys? Thanks in advance :)

    But of the two, I like Aleks.

    I prefer Sasha (Russian form of Alex), but of the two, above, I like Aleks. Aleksandra is my niece's name and she goes by Aleks so I am a tad biased.

    Aleks. Sandra is a bit old fashioned and will be further shortened to Sandy.
