My stepdad keeps forcing me to take steroids?
I'm 17 5ft8 and I'm 120lbs, I have been working out for almost a year and I've gained about 10 lbs, but lately my stepdad has been pushing me to use steroids, there small and pink and he said take 4 a day but I'm only taking 1 a day coz I don't wanna ruin my body, anyway today he gave me another one but I just pretended to take it and I through it away later, he's given me a whole bag of them and said to hide them from my mom or he'll get in trouble for giving me them, I don't wanna tell my mom coz all she's gonna do is shout at him then they'll get back together and everything will be awkward, I really dunno what to do, should I just keep taking 1 a day and pretend to take the others or should I just not take any, I have gained 4 lbs in 4 days of using these steroids and I no I'm working out enough and eating enough.

I remember once, during my exams, my blood pressure was a bit high....I was 19. My dad coolly asked me to "take" one of his hypertension medications. I fought with him. He was mad that I didn't listen to his "expert advice"....but I've read everywhere that self-medication is a bad idea.
Later a doc was shocked and said that it could have killed me. Another time, he asked me to take a medication for headache. I've had many allergic reactions with the medicine...and even then, he asked me to take it....since he "took it" and it never affected him.
I listened to his advice and developed rashes all over my body. It was the only time in my life where I can close to fainting and I had to miss an exam.
After that, I pretty much never listened to him. I think if I am alive today, it's because I rejected his "medical advice", no matter how mad he got at me.
His habit of "self medication" (he took medicines all by himself for headaches, cold, pain and what not)....ultimately, he developed chronic renal disease...and later suffered stroke...and after 6 yrs of agony and pain and decreased mobility, he suffered another stroke, which paralysed both his legs. He died 4 yrs ago.
Now, coming to your question....I'm no DOCTOR, no doctor will advice you to take steroids. It can RUIN your kidneys and cause a renal failure. You shouldn't pop ANY CHEMICAL without advice of doctor and NO DOCTOR will put you on steroids without any medical condition....certainly not for body building. It's known to cause heart attack.
YOUR STEPDAD is putting you in a very, very, very dangerous situation here. STOP TAKING IT. Take a print out of dangers of the link below and show it to your stepdad. DON'T TAKE IT and ask him to stop taking it too.

EDIT: God has given you this body....you have to keep it good and healthy for the next SIXTY years. Believe it or not....it's a pretty efficient system designed by nature.
Popping pills at your will is messing with this perfect system. Don't invite long term losses for short term gains.

Try telling him that you dont want to take steroids.
But if that doesn't work, my father is a doctor and my mom's a pharmacist, and he provides steroids to kids who are under sized all the time. Even though you are a bit older than the average age he gives them to, steroids arent all bad contrary to popular belief. Research what youre taking and then make a decision. I wouldnt take anything i didnt know exactly what it it.
Good Luck bro
