You know, I've seen these 'facts' mentioned on quite a few creationist apologetic websites, and the statement that science has since refuted all of them. But I've never seen an actual list of what the "false facts" are.

And interestingly enough, it only seems to be creationist apologetics that have ever heard of them.

Hint: Scientists aren't real big on using the term "incontrovertible."

Funny how this 51 incontrovertible facts thing only appears of Christian sites and the French Academy of Science, who it is credited to, have no record of it. I suspect that someone decided to work up some inane facts so that they could be rebuffed a make some Christians look all intellectual and clever. Even so, in it's answers to the 51 facts it makes some errors such as the reply to fact 10. Isaiah uses the Hebrew word chwug, which is a flat circle. The Hebrew word for sphere is dur. They also make other errors, or dissimulation in their answers to the supposed attack on the bible.

Bible and Science are two distinct ideologies. Science "naturalism believes that all that exists can be explained by nartural processes. This single belief rules out any posibility of God. Hypothetically if scientists did discover God it would appear something similar to this.

Scientists Have Evidence to Support The Infinite Singularity Theory which states that all intelligence ,natural laws and energy originated from one common infinitley high ntelligence, infinitely great energy source. Scientists observation that human behavior has direct affect on our laws of physics.

On the other hand biblical scientists believe that all that exists comes from God and acknowledge only evedence that support biblical "theory ."

Both ideologies believe that theirs will ultimately explain all things.

Given the universe is so immense and that very prominent scientists recognize that DNA is a code which can be communicated demonstrating that the code came from an intelligence. See Ben Stein.

Every now and then science may disagree with the Bible, but usually science just needs time to catch up. For example, in 1861 a French scientific academy printed a brochure offering 51 incontrovertible facts that proved the Bible in error. Today there is not a single reputable scientist who would support those supposed "facts," because modern science has disproved them all!

    No.

I have never heard of this list before. I know nothing of it. There are facts that show the bible is in error, but whether there are 5, 51, 151, 501 or some other number I do not know.

My belief in a particular list, or lack of belief will have no effect on the real world and the number of errors in the Bible, so my having belief in some list is meaningless.

Never heard of it and because of that fact, no. I don't believe in it.

But I can come up with more than 51.

    It's 52 actually

lol there never was such a list--it's a myth. If you actually look at it--there is no documentation that such a list existed.

The purported date for the list was 1861--before the birth of the modern scientific method.
