Hair is falling out and flaky, itchy scalp? Please help?
I'm 19 and for as long as I can remember my hair has always been flaky, like I have had dandruff
Recently it has got a lot more worse to the point my hair is no falling out a lot and you can tell because it looks like my hair has thinned out
I have been to the doctors where they gave me 'T-Gel' shampoo which didn't work
I then had 'Ceanol' which had acid in there but it didnt work
They have now given me Ketoconazole 2% shampoo but I don't want to use it because when I read the leaflet it said that it could cause further possible hair loss
Is there anything I could do or anything you guys could recommend?
I really would appreciate any help I can get right now
Thanks

It does sound like seborrhea, certainly the things your GP has given you are all for this. It is unlikely that you will get hair loss from ketonazole shampoo, and it may help. If the condition is as severe as you describe adding a steroid scalp application, such as betamethasone, to the shampoo may well help. Discuss this option with your GP.

massage olive/cocunut/gooseberry
oil into scalp. Leave for 2 hrs. Wash thoroughly. Repeat 3 or 4 times. Guaranteed dandruff free life.
