Ways to stand out to physical therapy programs with average GPA and GRE score?
Technically I should be applying this summer for the next cycle, but have decided to delay a year to save up some money and take a little break from academic life. So, I will not be applying until next summer after I have graduated with my bachelors. Anyway, predicting what I will get GPA wise for next couple semesters I will have a GPA of 3.54, not including the 14 hours of credit I took outside of my college that I transferred in, of which I got A's in. I just took the GRE recently and scored a 157 Quantitative and a 154 Verbal, which I know are pretty average scores as well, and am considering retaking it again possibly. However, with these pretty average scores, what are other ways that I can make myself stand out to PT programs?
Side note, if you retake the GRE do the programs look at your highest score of each section or do they look at which ever time you scored the highest with the scores combined?

My recommendations are to apply at several schools especially ones that have interviews.
