Do Protestant Christians believe in apotheosis, deification, divinization, and/or theosis?

Do Christians believe in these quotes made by Christian leaders:

"It is possible for man to become like God, to become deified, to become god by grace. This doctrine is based on many passages of both OT and NT, and it is essentially the teaching both of St Paul, though he tends to use the language of filial adoption and the Fourth Gospel" --Westminster Dictionary of Christian Theology

"The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods."--Irenaeus of Lyon

"For He was made man that we might be made God."--Thomas Aquinas

How is this any different that the Mormon view of "man may become a god"?

Update:

@"the rational thinker": So you don't believe in the Nicene Creed?

You would do better if you would begin with understanding the difference between Christian leaders and Catholic leaders. Christians do not believe that we can become God (or gods)... .

No I do not believe that a man can become "deified". We are sinners, pure and simple. We will never be perfect as long as we inhabit these fleshly bodies. Christians are only perfected when we leave this earth and go to be with the Lord. Then, the bible says, we shall be like Him. And only then.

No, we only believe what's stated in the Bible. The Gospel doesn't suggest that you can become equivalent to God, and obviously Aquinas and Irenaeus' statements weren't a part of the Bible.

No. But I am planning to convert to Catholicism, partly because I do believe in Divinization. I want to be like Jesus!
