Calling out suspected trolls is a violation, even if your accusations turn out to be correct. There is a correct way to report suspected abuse, and everyone must abide by it in order to maintain a safe and orderly community.

You should also know that posting illegal or violence content in answers can get you reported.

Insulting and racist answers can get reported too.

The violations here are a complete joke. I've been nailed numerous times from idiots who report you just because they can. Worse, the moderators are equally idiotic when they uphold the violation. There's no rhyme or reason for some of the decisions made.

And don't bother trying to be funny. I went into the science category and asked "What is the temperature of the sun at night?" OBVIOUSLY a dumb question to get a laugh, nothing more. Well, some nerdy d!ckwad was "offended" and reported me. After I appealed, the Yahpp morons docked me 10 points anyway for "not following the rules" or some such b.s. What a crock.

As others have said, "calling out" - accusing others of misuse - is a violation.

    Here's the relevant guideline:

    =quote=

Posting a question or answer to call out another community member for any reason is not allowed. This includes calling out suspected point-gamers and trolls, even if your accusations turn out to be correct. There is a correct way to report suspected abuse, and everyone must abide by it in order to maintain a safe and orderly community.

The only exception - as far as we know - is if someone asks something along the lines of "Why are my questions being reported?", and thus invites analysis of their Q&A history. Even then, it needs to be done in a neutral way.

Because someone who DID bother to read the rules they agreed to follow saw your insult/misuse of the format/chat/non-answer/pointgaming and reported it. How could you possibly think you could violate the guidelines in at least 5 ways and NOT get a violation??
