Yes! I think everyone has that experience under their belt. In 7th or 6th grade, I wrote this story called Alice in Underland (you probably can guess where that came from) and I thought I was being oh so clever by utilizing characters that had never been used in the disney movie, like Humpty Dumpty (even thought those egg–shaped brother were probably based on him). Not to mention the fact that she was destined to be a great hero and save the realm (yeah, the Tim Burton plot was stolen from, too). What's worse is that I had access to the INTERNET, and I published the story on Wattpad. It was an awful, truly astrocious story that lacked any hint of originality and was filled with typos. I forgot about it after I published it, but one day, while I was cleaning, I found a rough draft of the second chapter. I deleted the story.

I regret it a little now, because I want to measure how much I improved, but it was really an awful story, and I feel bad that it was the first impression some people got of my writing skill.

Of course! I wrote lots of stories when I was a young teen that I cringe to think of now. One of the worst ones was about a girl who fell in love with a pop star and it went on for pages and pages about this crush she had on him. And then, suddenly, towards the end of the story, they just happen to bump into each other and live happily ever after. Ugh. It was complete rubbish. Some of my teenage writing wasn't too bad, but it still seems incredibly childish now.

Yes,i have written a poem when i was in class 8. But i could not let others to read it that time. .When cleaning the room my wife find it and read it in front of my family member . At that time I was so embarrassed that my wife came to know that poem was not for her instead there was the admiration of the girl whom i liked when I was in class 8.

Heck yes. Mary Sue city - never mind the character being a bit like me, I wrote myself into the story.

Oh yeah! When I first started writing my writing was full of sue-ish characters.

My first stories were about this guy named Hunter. Hunter was super powerful with almost no weaknesses to name. The thing is he was also really intelligent and super confident. He was a real hard core gary sue type of character. The other really bad thing was that all of my characters were like that back then.

I tried to write a comedy once, for a fiction writing class. It sucked. I'm proud of my other work, and everyone was fairly receptive of it, but I think they were just being nice.

At the time, I thought my story was awesome. It was the first novel I had ever written and I was so proud of it. 3 years later I read it and my eyes widened and my jaw dropped. It. Was. Terrible! So glad no one will ever read it. I don't think I could handle the embarassment!

I wrote a love poem to my boyfriend. We parted on unhappy terms (due to circumstances not lack of love). My only hope is that he burned all momentoes of our relationship while drunk one night. I am less ashamed of my Mary Sue fanfic than I am of that particular poem.
