Do you think the thumbs up and thumbs down rating system is a good one?

It was intended to make a good one.

How ever when it comes to politics related topics or view with religion it is generally misused. Other wise it is fine. Best would be if we need to give explanation why thumbs up or down?

It is good that if you write a dood answer and get some TU's if you get the BA each TU counts as more points for your answer.

Best answer = +10 points

Not good at all, a waste of time. In some cases it's other answerers and their buddies trying to make someone's answer look good or hide the other answers to help them get their answer chosen as best answer, in other cases it's just trolls, for the most part you can ignore the thumbs they really mean next to nothing.

Many trolls enjoy showing off their brilliance by giving thumbs down,. for them it stimulates their solitary brain cell.They consider it to be an extraordinary sport.
