Even if you were to stop illegal crossings from Mexico today that would only address about half of the problem. About half of the people here illegally entered legally. They came in on a tourist or some other kind of visa and then never went home when they should have.

its virtually impossible to completely seal the border. they have tunnels, they hide in trucks, they come by boat. There are so many ways, the resources and the time just isnt there to completely seal any border. To make it more secure, we should make it so the illegal immigrants dont want to come here in the first place. deny them rights to drivers licenses, deny them any federal or state benfits such as schooling, housing, etc. Obviously, we need to make sure they dont die while theyre here, just make it less appealing to hop the border.

In any event, asking how we can prevent all illegal immigration is like asking how we can prevent all murder. Neither of those things will ever happen.

Fine employers $25k for each illegal they employ. Fine landlords $25k for each illegal they rent to. Stop educating their children. Put any illegal caught in the US in jail for one year.
