Tattoo design and cost estimate?

Question

I am thinking of getting a half sleeve/upper arm to shoulder tattoo in the near future. My main reason for asking is possible estimate cost wise. Ive done some research and already know the cost varies by either time or artist and in some cases the amount of detail with the tattoo. Im thinking something SIMILAR/not exact but along the same lines as this design (album cover of motionless in white)

any general ball park area guesstimates what this would be around? * I havent spoken with an artist YET but just a general idea of what id be looking at*

I suggest posting a query on this site's forums; http://www.createmytattoo.com/forums/. It has a lot of professional artists who do custom designs and will be the best people to give you an estimate. I've often sought advice successfully by posting here. You could even end up getting a custom design drawn from them.

The only person who can give you an estimate on that is the artist who will be doing it. Go talk with an artist/shop.

It all depends on the place you go, the size you want it, and the placement of the tattoo. And whether the tattooist charges by the hour or by tattoo. Print it out and take it into local shops and get a few quotes :)

You're looking at anywhere from 500 to 1000 if you want QUALITY work done. It was 800 to get my arm done
