Cat scratches ear and water comes out? NOT ear mites!?

My cat scratches her ear a lot, which I know can be a sign of ear mites, but I've checked her for them and she doesn't have them.

The key detail here is the WATER that sprays out of her ear in droplets when she scratches it really hard. Can anyone tell me what this could be? Google keeps saying ear mites, but that's not it.

It could be a yeast infection. This is a very common cause of itchy ears in cats and may produce some discharge. Amazon sells a product to treat it called Zymox Otic Pet Ear Treatment with Hydrocortisone. It could also be an allergy or a different type of ear infection. Only a vet can tell you for sure. When 2 of my cats had these same symptoms yours has, Zymox was the cure for them, so I'd say it's worth a try.

Ok, this can be a severe drawback now. "i cant take him to the vet every time soon because of financial disorders" that is not k. For those who were scratching your ear off, you would take your self to the physician's correct? Not sure in case your mindful of this, but failure to furnish veterinary care is a authorized offense, and is punishable by using regulation. In case your kitty occurs to progress in this hindrance to the point the place he develops an illness (which he would have already) which results in loss of life, you withstand 5 years of prison time and thousands of countless numbers of greenbacks greater than the rate it might have been to just take him to the vet within the first position. You cannot diagnose this for definite, which you can handiest bet, and whatever someone says right here on Yahoo can't be taken seriously, on the grounds that they have not even obvious your cat. If it is ear mites, it's a quandary you can't remedy your self. Anything to do with the ears/eyes/nostril/sinuses can not be constant, solved, or cured by using the proprietor. It requires veterinary care and more commonly oral medication. We cannot aid you with this difficulty, and i'm very, very sorry, because as a cat proprietor myself, i know how much they mean to us. However I cannot offer you any better advice than to just take him to the vet. They are able to support you determine cost plans, and provide you with options to take care of this. It's your responsibility as a pet proprietor to offer him the care he wants.

Don't be so sure as you may not see them if they are deep inside. She may have a boil that leaks when she scratches. This would be an infection that could cause damage and spread. Take her to the vet. She is in pain.

Probably some sort of fungal infection. Get her to the vet ASAP. This is definitely NOT normal.
