Yahoo answer stop You are down 1 point (correct your technical error)?

Why is it you are showing Alert you are down 1 point go and check my statistics.

When I checked I found Yahoo is showing I have deleted an answer while I did not submit it and they are treating it as deleted.

It is annoying to see whenever I answer Alert you are down 1 point.

Staff don't read here as rule (or if they do then they don't answer much)

However they are aware of the glitch and we can only assume that apparently it's not a "quick" solution judging by how long this glitch has been running.

If there is a bug with the Y! Answers site then it's better to raise it on the Y!A Suggestion Board e.g. here you can see it's been mentioned already http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&... This way you can be (relatively) sure that staff will read it.

Good answer above. It sounds like you may have deleted an answer for -2 points.

When you delete an answer -2 and the Thanks for visiting glitch which pops up every time you change pages deducts 1 point from the -2 points so it says you are down -1 point. When you delete an answer this You are down 1 point will go on for hours.

    (And i have 56 misspellings.)

You can see by the thread linked to that this has been going on for over a month. Please do not start a new thread about the issue, that just clutters up the board. The Team has seen the already posted thread.

About half the time, you can get rid of it by cleaning your system. You may have a bad cache file on your system. You can try this, it can help. It has worked for others. Make sure you do all four steps.

    1. Log off YA, and get off Yahoo pages.

    2. Clean internet cache files and cookies

    3. Delete all temp files

    4. Reboot your computer

Also make sure your Flash and Java Updates are current.

Do all the steps to make sure you get the offending file.
