When do you do the first PFT in NROTC?
During freshman year, do you do the PFT on induction day or later on?

You'll probably do one during Freshman Orientation. Your first recorded PFT will probably be in the first few weeks or so. They will use this one to see if you need to go on remedial PT or not (almost certainly you will). You will most likely not have an official one until the end of your first semester).

At our unit we took our first REAL PRT about halfway through the semester.
Not saying they won't have little mock PRTs to see where you currently stand. That's a way that they track improvements.
But it can vary from unit to unit.
They will not give you a REAL PRT on the first day but they will PT the hell out of you on those early mornings leading up to the first PRT though.
