How Cool would it be if Wendy Davis became the next Guv of Texas?
A strategist for Texas Democratic state Sen. Wendy Davis said Friday that she is “looking very closely” at a run for statewide office, including the governorship, in 2014.
That’s further than Davis, who vaulted to national notoriety this week after staging an 11-hour filibuster against a bill to limit abortion rights, has gone in describing her political aspirations. As recently as March, she said she planned to run for reelection to her Senate seat.
She was less adamant about that path this week, telling MSNBC she “would be lying” to deny interest in running statewide.

It would be stellar. There may be hope for Texas yet. Sen. Davis has energized that state like no one before her. She went from an unknown to a national hero for women's rights in one day. Just as an aside, some nail salon in Houston, I think it was, had a one day deal where you could get the likeness of Sen. Davis on your nail and the proceeds went to Planned Parenthood.
Davis' testimony gradually galvanized supporters in the state and across the country, hour by hour. Her supporters filled the state Capitol's gallery, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in hallways and lining up down the steps outside. At its peak, the Texas Tribune's livestream hit some 183,000 viewers. Davis says the waves of clapping and chants surprised even her.
"Ultimately at the end when the microphones of Democratic senators were shut off as we were trying to hold the floor, which we rightfully should have been able to do, I think it was just this organic response," she says. "It wasn't anything but democracy."
Scary Perry intends to bring the bill back up, but it's not a done deal yet because now the eyes of all of Texas and the rest of the country are on those Republican legislators in Texas. But if it does get passed, it will just mean that many more galvanized voters for Davis in the gubernatorial election. Women nationwide are already furious at Rick Perry for the way he patronized Davis.
What cons here seem not to realize is that Davis is a magnet for donations from all over the country should she choose to run.

I do not know anything about Wendy but I know she is not good because you vote based on if someone is Cool or not which is very common for a young liberal with no real world experience. That has idiot written all over it.
So the only important issue in the U.S. is if a woman has a right to kill her unborn child?
Do you have any idea how dumb your are?
But I can see why liberals are for abortion because they plagued with bad choices in life and want others to pay for it.

She's one of Obama's own and it turns out she lies as much as Obama. Wouldn't trust her to run a magazine subscription.

I think that it would be awesome!!!!
I hope that it becomes a reality and, at the same time, I hope that Governor Rick Perry finds himself unemployed.

"If she thinks that abortion is somehow the most pressing issue in the world,"
Guy who said that, you do realize that the governor on down tried to make it the most pressing issue in the world and they plan to make a special session over that, right?
