Why do people ask questions i nthe hunting forum that does not have anything to do with hunting?

There is no guns forum. I guess that most people think they have a better chance of getting an accurate answer to their gun questions here than they would in another forum such as Pets, or Food and Drink.

In fairness it is the only forum on answers where guns are even relevant and most participants have at least a modicum of knowledge of the subject. A lot of hunters also shoot guns that aren't specifically designed for hunters. I suppose there are other reasons. Oh, yeah, I should also mention that if gun is mentioned in the question it is assigned to "Hunting" by default.

I don't agree that it should be renamed. I think "Hunting" is fine and most of us don't object to questions about home defense guns, concealed carry handguns, target rifles, etc.

Because hunters usually have more experience with guns & ammo. Whenever someone has a question about guns then they come here. Which is really not a problem, because I am glad to help anyone in any way I can.

Because there is no gun forum, or shooting forum, because Yahoo is a left winged biased site, like most. This is the closest thing though.
