  • Lower back pain knots on either side of spine at belt line.?

A few years ago I had an accident in which I was hit with a huge rock in the back. I never broke anything , but these "knots" appeared on either side of my spine around my belt line. These inflame from time to time and send stabbing pains down my hips into my legs. I can push on the knots and the same thing happens. What are these things? I am seeing a doc know who thinks I have SI joint problems but do these knots have anything to do with disk problems? Does anyone know? We have done a n x ray that shows arthritis and degenerative disease. My doc told me we wouldn't talk about disk trouble yet. That makes no sense to me at all.

  • What happens if something goes wrong?

Two things, seriously. What would happen if an astronaut's suit become torn in a spacewalk? I mean what if his / her glove was ripped off. What happens to the hand in space. Secondly, I watch them do spacewalks and fix things, what kind of safety devices do they have in case they become detached and begin to drift off into space? May sound elementary but I always wondered?

  • Serious nuclear energy question?

We have nuclear facilities all over the US and the world for that matter. I have been hearing a lot of the power grid and how fragile it is becoming. We have thousands of folks who are preparing for some type of grid down scenario. The govt is planning a scenario this fall. Here is my question, if the grid goes down or say some type of terrorist attack happens, how do we keep those nuclear facilities cool? If there is no power, and the battery generators cannot be refueled, then what? Are all those preppers, preparing for nothing? The reactors will blow if they aren't continuously cooled.

  • Obama and ammo shortage?

I have just read another article about this. The TSA ( another senseless agency ) is now requesting 3.5 million in 357 ammo. This agency does not have regular armed agents. Why can't somebody namely the ammo makers, refuse this outright ammo grab. I reload and thank God I do, but 22's are almost impossible to find. I sign up for alerts through online stores for them. Obama couldn't grab our guns but he sure knows how to grab ammo. Why can't shooting sports groups force the ammo makers to stop over-providing the feds? I thought the secret Obama civilian army was just impossible but sure does look like he is well on his way, any thoughts?

  • Easton bloodline arrows?

I have been shooting these since last year and I really like them. I normally buy them from Cabela's, and from a local archery shop. The normal price is around 50 bucks for 6. Does anyone know if that price can be beaten?

  • Why do people ask questions i nthe hunting forum that does not have anything to do with hunting?

Seems like most of the questions on this forum have nothing to do with hunting. It should be renamed the "gun forum". Your thoughts?

  • Upcoming trapping season?

I live in southern WV. Trapping season is over but I am excited about this year. I trap not for fur but population control. Coyotes hammer wild game here. I see no good from these creatures mainly because they compete with me during bow season and spring turkey hunting lol. We really do not have a problem with them attacking domestic animals here. Here's my trouble. I live where they hate trapping. If they know you trap they want to know where, they always say well I don't want my coon dog in your trap that's why! Well the real reason is they want to destroy my traps. I don't want to start an argument but how can I get along better with dog hunters. I have never cought anyone's hunting hound iin a trap. I always go out into the woods to trap, never along well traveled roads where dog hunters roam. So any thoughts?

  • For serious archers only?

I am a serious archer and need a little help, so don't answer if you insist on stupidity. Here's the problem. I have a drop away rest that I am having trouble tuning in. At 20 it's great. 30, it hits a lttle off, so I move it to dead center. 40, same thing, move it and dead on. I do this all the way out to 50. I go back to 20, it's good, 30 it's off, 40 it's off, 50, the last move I made it's on my fletching is not touching anywhere. It's driving me nuts. Any suggestions? If I walked back to 50 and adjusted the rest, then everything should be good.

  • military coup in the US?

What would have to happen for the US military to engage the powers that be to take over the federal govt. They are sworn to protect the constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic. What would military generals or admirals have to agree upon, and who would "head" such a thing? Is there such a document that would determine the process ? How would the military return power to the civilians after a coup took place? I am just wondering since this has never happened before on such an extensive level.

  • Question for all those who trap coyotes?

I am knida new but not so new at trapping. I have trapped everything but a bobcat. I am eagerly awaiting that day. Anyway, I trap some yotes here in southern WV. I trap because of they are devastating on turkey and deer here . I have noticed that sometimes the yote will pull through the jaws of the trap. This leaves some hair between the jaws. What causes this to happen. My traps are a couple years old and I wax and dye them every season. Any suggestions?

  • elk vs. whitetail question?

Recently the state of Kentucky has introduced Elk into it's wildlife population. West Virginia has been tossing around this idea as well. The area that has been chosen includes the "bow only" counties of WV. We have been enjoying nice whitetail racks since the bow only concept began. I have heard recently that elk run the whitetail off. Does anyone know if that is just a rumor or is there validity to that statement?

  • my gun isn't right.?

I am thinking about returning my firearms. I have had them for years now and it hasn't killed the first person. It hasn''t even shot on it's own either. I have a shot gun that has killed a few squirrels, and a 30.06 that has killed a few deer, and a 22.250 that has blasted a few coyotes. I am confused, it hasn't killed any people. This country will one day regret the decision it is about to make. Gun laws do not work. If you examine the current gun laws, you will find that they should have stopped these idiots but they don't. Feinstein and the other gun grabbers needed these events to cause outrage of public opinion. The shooter in Co should be hanged from the courhouse steps, and the Ct. idiot should not be given a proper burial. He should be left in a field to be eaten by coyotes. There is a local school where I live and they have armed police at every entrance, and the kids love them. They don't feel like a prisoner. This country cannot handle the truth. It wouldn't surprise me if the govt. had something to do with it. They" needed" this for their gun grab. Sad but true. We are gonna trust Holder, who let thousands of guns go that have killed God knows how many, to regulate our firearms? Pathetic, pure and simple. He should be in jail right now.

  • Just curious? Anybody ran the numbers?

Just curious, does anyone know how many mass shootings there have been in the US since 2008 til now? How many has there been from 2000 -2008. 9/11 doesn't count before somebody puts it in the equation, 9/11 wasn't a mass shooting. Any thoughts as to why ?

  • Serious question about the "top earners"?

I am far from the "top earner" bracket, I am a conservative voter but I do not want to throw stones at anyone for what they believe. Whatever you believe is fine, but it doesn't mean I have to be forced to believe what you do. Anyway, here is my question to all, Why is it that the "top earner" bracket seem to be demonized foe success, but not sports figures? Seriously, I read where a pitcher just agreed to a 147 million deal. I think that qualifies as "rich". Seems like if ya make millions throwing, bouncing,or running with a ball, we love it, but if ya have a job where one person makes a million, somehow that person is looked down upon. Why? Serious comments please.

Also if anyone in the very southern bow only counites of WV would like to pass on their knowledge of trappiing I would love to talk to you.
