How can one know if one miscarried without first knowing if one is pregnant?
If there's a chance that one might be pregnant, but one does not test it to know for sure, how can one know if one miscarries? Would there be a specific bleeding pattern? Would one feel any pains or sensations? What are the symptoms of a miscarriage?

Some early miscarriages look like a normal period just with more clots in it, most women wouldn't even know they were pregnant. A large percent of pregnancies end before you can even test.
If you can get a blood pregnancy test the day you think you might have miscarried it might show if you are due or almost due for your period, but in most cases you will never know for sure.

A miss that early would seem just like a period. Women have had early misses since the dawn of time and just attributed them to early, on time or slightly late periods. There is no way to tell unless you test.
