Where to find documents after transferring docs from old laptop to new laptop?
I just bought a new laptop and my comp tech transferred (or at least he said he did) my documents from my old laptop to my new laptop. Now I can't find some of them. I don't want to call him back cause that will cost more money. is there anything I can do to find them cause when I search, they don't come up.
I have windows 8. there's no start button!

they will automatically be in programs' click start and they will be at the top of the page somewhere

You could try looking in the documents, music, downloads, picture folder etc. Or try opening the My computer button and looking for your files in there.
