Is the universe self aware?
We are part of the universe,
we are self aware,
therefore, the universe is self-aware.
Is this a fallacy of composition, or is there truth to it?
Can you provide any logical proofs to support your claim?
Have a pleasant day. :)

Gotrta go Kabbalah on you here.
Everything is really one "thing"( wrong term, it's not a thing) in disguise and separation is an illusion.
Let's back up through the steps. E=Mc2: everything material is really energy in disguise. Back up another step to quantum level, where time and space do not exist and nothing is real. All that exists, underlying this so-called "reality" is just a vast undulating sea of potential. proof that everything is connected is quantum entanglement.
Now that's as far as science can measure. But where does all that energy come from? What is the organizing principle behind a highly organized universe? There is another dimension, a creative one, behind and beyond quantum. For lack of a better term let's call it the spiritual dimension.
There is a creative Force which keeps the lights on in this physical universe and which provides the energy to keep things spinning, Some call that God. [BTW, God is not religious ;) ]
There is a unified field theory which takes this into account.

If he's right, we humans can figure out how to throw an anchor into the heart of things and draw infinite free energy, because gravity is actually an electro-magnetic phenom. Meaning if we can figure out how to make the right sort of antennae or magic box, we can power Starship Enterprise, because infinite energy is available at any point in this universe. WoHoo!
Except it would cost a $Trillion to build each Galaxy class starship.... Which is a problem.
Is the universe self-aware? Yes. Everything has a consciousness of sorts. Plants do. Even rocks. You think something as powerful as the sun doesn't? Trees are an expression of the earth. Is the earth conscious? Not in the way we think, but it is, in its own way.
There is a Hindu story in which The Creator (as it were) broke himself up into gazillions of parts, and then "forgot" just so he could have the fun of sneaking up behind himself to surprise himself.

We are self aware
We are aware of the universe
We are of the universe
Therefore, the universe is self aware
A creationist may argue that the universe is simply a location, and we are not of the universe, but placed into the universe by an outside entity. A creationist does not see God as part of the universe, and they don't see themselves as part of the universe. It all depends on how you define the universe. If you are truly of the universe, then the universe is self aware. Perhaps we are the instruments of that self awareness. That would make us very special indeed.

It's a fallacy of equivalency. We are part of the universe (a very, very tiny part...) but we are not equivalent to the universe.
Neither is a rock. A rock is part of the universe...Therefore the universe is a rock. See...Absurd.
The universe is 99.99% absolutely nothing. Empty space. A few neutrinos and cosmic rays whizzing around and a few virtual particles popping into and out of existence. The entirely of matter in the universe is only a tiny fraction of the entire volume.

Is the universe self aware?
We are part of the universe,
we are self aware,
therefore, the universe is self-aware.
~~~ You state that we are 'part' of the Universe, and that we are aware.
That means that 'part of the Universe' is aware.
Had you included all that is awareness, all Consciousness, along with the 'part' that you isolate as 'we', then you can rightly conclude that the Universe is 'Self!' aware/knowing.
Is this a fallacy of composition, or is there truth to it?
~~~ It is true if you correct your premise to be all inclusive.
There is One, all inclusive, unchanging Reality!
There is One, all inclusive, unchanging Consciousness!
"Consciousness is the ground of all being!" - Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics
One (Universal) Consciousness!
Every moment of existence is a unique moment of 'Self!' Knowledge!
The new, critically updated, all inclusive, final definition of 'Knowledge';
"'Knowledge' is 'that which is perceived', Here! Now!!"
All inclusive!
That which is perceived by the unique individual Perspective is 'knowledge'.
All we can 'know' is what we perceive, Now! and Now! and Now!!!
'Ignorance' is that which is NOT perceived, at any particular moment, by any particular unique Perspective!
peace

It is my hypothesis that the universe is not self aware i.e. aware of itself as separate from life. I believe that mankind is the only species we know of that is self aware. All other things, from particles to atoms to cells in our bodies to the plant and animal life are aware that they are Life and that all things are connected and there is on real separation. On the behalf of particles this is somewhat proved by quantum entanglement. This self-awareness may well be man's downfall as he does not care to live in harmony with all other life. The statement we are part of the universe, self aware = the universe being self aware is like saying that since you have pecans in a pecan pie that follows that the whole pie is pecans.

technically speaking, the universe is just a physical place, or location. so it's like asking if one's street is self aware.
But philosophically speaking, I would say yes. Because we affect our environment and it reacts to how we affect it, therefor one can claim that it has some sort of self awareness...

Its perpetually a possiblity its not a yes or no reply, cos we dont be aware of however identification say its a possibly likelihood however our body has its situation in things, we're conscious and conscious with the biology, so even supposing we are with out it, we dont comprehend that, we just be aware of we are with it

Your logic is fully retarded.
Just because we are apart of something doesn't mean we share the same traits with that which we are apart of.
Taking your logic... I'm self aware, my toe is apart of me, therefore my toe is self aware because I am. Or, an ant hill (the actual structure) is alive because ants are alive and they are apart of it.

at some levels the universe is composed of the network that unites us all as individual feeling tones into one song.
at those levels, the whole is greater and more aware than its parts..
it may not sound logical, but it is definitely psychological.

Rocks are part of the Universe,
rocks aren't self-aware,
therefore, parts of the Universe aren't self-aware,
therefore, your logical conclusion isn't sound.
Here is your argument except without the composition fallacy.
We are part of the Universe,
we are self aware,
therefore, parts of the Universe are self-aware.
